This catalogue brings together a selection of paintings and drawings by Quinten De Coene, whose oeuvre mainly consists of portraits of friends and family from his artistic environement. De Coene's main concern is the tension of a portrait, to make something which is a thing on its own rather than the depiction of the sitter.
